Ever since Skype for iPhone/iPod Touch came out, I’ve been deliberating. Alot. And researching as well.
You see, a majority of my phone bills are now to Singapore. Which isn’t cheap when it goes at 12 cents / minute with my mobile phone. And Voip works as well, if you are stuck in front of a computer. Plus VoipStunt isn’t working too great lately.
And I call home everyday.
So you can imagine the phone bill.
So Skype for iPhone / iPod Touch has been like a god-sent to me, especially since I use SkypeOut everyday. (Yeah I know about Fring, Truphone, Nimbuzz, but I don’t use them) So I’ve been looking at the options, and here they are.
(1) iPod Touch Gen 1: Does not work with this
(2) iPod Touch Gen 2: Works if you have a Stereo headset from Apple or some other company
(3) iPhone 3G: Works but voice calls are only via WiFi, not 3G (Because of some carrier issues and whatever, it might change, but who knows, we’re going to say its not)
Its such a hard decision!
