I go by Summerrainx, but regular folk call me Joanna Siew. I’ve heard it even sounds Polish but I’m 100% Singaporean.
So, lets see what has happened so far…
I graduated with an M.Sc in Computer Science from Linkoping University in Sweden, I did my internship with NXP Semiconductors in the Netherlands which eventually led to the IEEE ETS’09 poster and the IEEE ATS’09 conference.
Prior to that, I did my B.Eng in ECE from the National University of Singapore, where I met a lot of mentors whose advice I keep close to heart. Plus the fact that being a student you get to write a lot of great stories and get sponsorships to conferences like the Global Brand Forum or the WWDC.
On an ordinary day, I’m a software designer and I get paid like any normal human being. I work on the High Tech Campus in the Netherlands and I seriously think it is a great place to work lest for the bad Dutch weather. Currently I’m writing Java applications and am reading a ton of O’Reilly and business/marketing books. It’s nice. 
I like pink stuff, chinchillas, gadgets and alot of bling. I also like short skirts and shiny stuff in my hair like every other Asian babe. Otherwise I also like Apple, Google, the Web and any technology related stuff.
I am the exception, not the rule.
